A community outreach program that empowers communities with health education and access to science-backed solutions.
BrainWise Connect
This community outreach initiative aims to educate the community about: the science behind neurological disorders, risk factors, symptoms, when to seek attention, etc. In addition to the presentation, attendees get to participate in hands-on activities and take home some fun items. Our primary audience includes seniors, high-risk older adults, their caregivers and families.
Expand awareness of the science behind neurological disorders (e.g. dementia), early warning signs, tools and support resources available through hosting community workshops and distributing materials (courtesy of Alz.org)
Explore key cognitive skills, such as memory, attention, verbal fluency, and response time, and learn how neurological conditions can affect these abilities through engaging digital and hands-on games.
With donations, we design and give out care packages containing a small collection of fun items, such as word games, puzzles, brochures, tip and resources sheets, recipients can enjoy and keep their brains sharp.
